How to print PGN files?

In case that you want to print the text of a PGN file you can either:

1)      Use the PGN viewer Penguin v10

Go to the HOME PAGE and download the software.

Once you’ve opened the PGN file that you want to print, please click on “File and Print”:

And then “Print”. A window will pop up, where you will be able to tick the printing options that you want:

Click on accept, and the PGN file will print.

2)      Open the PGN file with a text editor and the print the file

In this case, you will need to locate the PGN file with Windows file explorer (see example below):

Once you have located the file, RIGHT-CLICK on it then select OPEN WITH and select text editor you are comfortable with.

After opening the file, you just need to print the file as you regularly do with any other file.

Note: In this case some symbols can be converted wrongly, although the text should be legible and easy to read

Finally, if you are using your own PGN viewer, it might already have the option to print. You can either check that in the “Help” menu, or you can check our options (mentioned above) if the option to print is not available.
