Today I’m excited to share with you one of the most unknown, underrated, and powerful chess openings for White: the Center Game, which arises after the opening moves 1.e4 e5 2.d4.

Several years ago, when I was an International Master, my new coach taught me this really cool opening. That’s when I realized that this opening is much trickier than he thought. Many of your opponents will be unprepared, and you can surprise them with this tricky opening.

You will learn the key ideas of the opening, an aggressive variation for White in the mainline, and some nasty checkmating traps!
