Today I’d like to share with you a chess endgame study by Richard Réti, who was one of the greatest chess players. You will learn how to play the Rook vs Pawn endgame, especially how to win with the rook against a passed pawn.

Reti composed this endgame study in 1928 and it became one of the the classical endgame studies of all time. It also illustrates a very important chess rule, a move, called the Zugzwang.
