Sometime ago, I shared with you a message I received from one of my students, Ram S Krishnan. In that article, you will learn about Ram’s ups and downs in his chess career, and HOW he actually overcame them. If you missed that instructive article, you can find it here – Part 1 and Part 2.

Well, there is no end for “success”, right? 🙂 You actually keep setting benchmarks and targets and work hard to achieve them.

Guess what happened? Recently, I received another message from Ram; a “happy news”, actually. 🙂

Ram’s message:

Sir,

I am Ram from India. I recently studied your course “Grandmaster’s positional understanding”. It is outstanding and I learnt many things. After translating your seminars in Vellore and Chennai, I played many tournaments gained around 100 rating points..I beat an IM and Drew with Super GM from Russia. First, I would like to send the game against IM.

Thanks and Regards,

Ram S.Krishnan.

Note: the resources (lessons and courses) mentioned by Ram in his comments for the game are provided below:

First, I’d like to congratulate Ram for defeating an IM! Thanks for sending your game Ram, it’s good to know that you’re improving steadily. 🙂

I have a question for other students – do you have a similar “success story“? Have you ever defeated or drew a game with a titled player? If so, please send your game and let us know about it. We’ll always be happy for your improvements! 🙂

You can find Ram’s game below:
