I Downloaded and Decompressed the Course’s Files. However It Doesn’t Work Properly

Check your security settings

Sometimes a security program (e.g. firewall, antivirus) will block or delete the course’s files, but there should be no reason for concern. Your course has been checked many times by several different programs, so I can guarantee that there are NO viruses.

What happens is that some antivirus programs are too suspicious and will treat unknown *.exe files as a virus. This, however, it is not correct. The course file is simply a program which is not very popular and that’s why your antivirus doesn’t know it.

If you think that this may apply to you, please do the following:

Step 1: Disable your security software

As a test, disable any programs which might interfere with or cause damage to the course’s normal execution (e.g. firewall, antivirus).

Note: You can add the chess course to the exceptions in your antivirus/firewall rules. Thus it will not be checked anymore (most antivirus programs have such a “white list”).

Step 2: Decompress the course file

Once again, try to decompress the files contained in the *.zip archive and to run the course.

If you are unable to decompress the file, perhaps it is incomplete or damaged in some way. In this case, you should download the course again using the link in the e-mail that was sent to you after your purchase.
