In my last video lesson, I shared with you the 6 best chess opening traps after White’s first move 1.e4. Although these are practical opening traps and, given the fact that you won’t damage your position even if your opponent doesn’t fall for them, it is good to learn a proper and complete opening system.
We are also getting closer to the end of the year and many of us can be very tired; we have chosen a solid system that you can learn WITHOUT having to memorize too many lines, but based on general understanding that generally offers:
- A safer king, protected by the fianchettoed bishop on g2
- Attacking opportunities, with the dark-squared bishop on the a1-h8 diagonal
Yes, that’s right – the opening system will have double fianchettoed bishops. The course will be released on Tuesday, 15 December. The author of the course is our guest coach GM Sipke Ernst, who has prepared a few video lessons for us already (check out his videos here).
